Cardiology Animation Case Study: CIS (Cardiovascular Institute of the South)
PROJECT MISSION: Build a 3D cardiology animation for the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in the form of a beautifully rendered 30-second animation, which will serve as a commercial advertising spot that highlights varicose vein treatment.
SOLUTION: Combine beautiful 3D cardiovascular system animation, showing the pathology in 3D animation of a patient’s legs before varicose vein treatment, with existing still images of actual patients, also before varicose vein treatment.
We carefully isolated the visual content provided in the still images and added 3D post effects to make them cohesive with the 3D animation rendering. Our creative post-effects specialist, Mike Ackerman, also used sensitive color balancing to make all of the visuals cohesive.
The focused attention by our creative lighting and shading department, led by Jas Bajric, did a wonderful job with real care for contrast sensitivity and tuned subsurface light scattering. This made the 3D animation of the legs come alive in one of our best cardiology animation videos involving peripheral vascular disease.
This is the fifth animated ad we’ve produced for CIS. Each time the results have been creatively fulfilling and really effective for our client. Our previous efforts are just as compelling. They convey the wide range of services offered by CIS, such as varicose vein treatments, and really feel like a cohesive series. Great job, team!
