PROJECT MISSION: Produce a beautifully rendered 30-second 3D cardiology animation for the Cardiovascular Institute of the South. Demonstrate CIS’ varicose vein treatment in a commercial advertising spot featuring the animation.
SOLUTION: Combine beautiful 3D cardiovascular system animation, showing the pathology in 3D animation of a patient’s legs before varicose vein treatment, with existing still images of actual patients, also before varicose vein treatment.
SOLUTION: Show the before-and-after differences of the treatment by combining cardiovascular system animation with still images of actual patients. Create an eye-catching, cohesive advertisement with advanced production techniques.
After separating the still images’ visual content, we added 3D post effects. By adding 3D elements to the stills, we blended the real-life and rendered aspects of the animation seamlessly. Mike Ackerman, our post-effects specialist, balanced the visuals’ colors for further cohesion.
Our lighting and shading team, led by Jas Bajric, paid careful attention to the visuals’ tuned subsurface light scattering and contrast sensitivity. As a result, the 3D renders of the legs’ anatomy practically came to life.
We consider this project to be one of our best cardiovascular animations involving peripheral vascular disease thanks to our team’s attention to detail.
