HEAL and CLIMBERS win Platinum EMPixx Awards

St. Paul, MN…August 23rd, 2010 – Ghost Productions INC, An animation studio based out of the Twin Cities and specializing in animation for the medical device industry, has announced that their animated shorts, HEAL and CLIMBERS have each won Platinum Awards for Animation (corporate animation category) in this years EMPixx Awards. Unlike most Awards Ghost receives, the EMPixx Awards are not limited to medical-specific entries, but are open to all types of animation or new media production in all fields of industry. Sponsored by the American Pixel Academy, the EMPixx Awards are given each year to honor agencies and studios that demonstrate an exceptional level of quality and production in their projects. The EMPixx competition was created by David E. Carter, a multiple Emmy and Clio winner with a long history of innovation for the creative world. Carter also founded the Telly Awards and is now the Executive Director of the American Pixel Academy.

HEAL, a major animated short, premiered at the 2009 American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and quickly was purchased by Johnson & Johnson subsidiaries DePuy Spine, DePuy Orthopedics, and DePuy trauma as vehicle to promote their product lines.

Hot on the heels of HEAL’s success at the 2009 AAOS Annual meeting, longstanding Ghost client K2Medical requested CLIMBERS, a cinematic medical animation that takes place on the summit of K2. You can view both animations by visiting our Demo Reels page.
